During Bridging Ages 18th International Conference in Kalmar March 2025 the book “I will never forget it, even if I try” Bridging ages 20 years was lanuched. In this book there are stories from 23 countries working with time travels.
This is the story of Bridging Ages, an International Organization in Applied Heritage and Time Travels. It started out as a small international network in 2004, turned into a formal organization in 2007 and has spread to more than 20 countries on four continents.
Bridging Ages promotes the Time Travel method, an educational method for schools and communities, by using local historical sites and stories to reflect on contemporary issues. The Time Travel method began on a very small scale at the Kalmar County Museum in Sweden with three local schools in the 1980s. It spread to most of the schools in the Kalmar region. Around the year 2000 other countries became interested and in 2004 the Time Travel groups established Bridging Ages.
In this book you can experience Time Travels in all of the 23 countries connected to Bridging Ages, in northern Europe, southern Africa, America, Turkey and more. So far, more than one million people have taken part in a Time Travel event. It is more than engaging in the past.
